Carnival in the province of León, Spain. Images taken in Carrizo de la Ribera and Llamas de la Ribera during the celebration of the “Antruejo”.

During this time of the year the city transforms into a platform for performance, music, processions, tradition and home made lemonade.

Lanzarote and the Canary Islands as a whole owe a lot to César Manrique. The artist always fought for sustainable growth and tourism, taking the islands’ tradition and culture as a constant reference.
James del Agua is one of his contributions as an architect, a cave with a concert venue and a restaurant, surrounded by autochthonous plants and the sea.
The House-Museum of the peasant farmer (Casa Museo del Campesino) was also designed by César Manrique. Bright white walls and hints of green, it follows the traditional architecture of the region.
